Saturday April 28, 2012 - Vintages Release Report

I am using a 5-star rating system, which appears at the end of each review; here’s the key to the stars:
5 = Outstanding … 4.5 = Excellent … 4 = Very Good … 3.5 = Good … 3 = Average

The skinny: lots of good values, but very few outstanding wines.

This week's two releases focus is New Zealand whites (NZW), mostly Sauvignon Blanc, and Veneto (VEN) ... I have - and always have had - a special place in my heart for the wines of the region.
